Print Submissions

Professional contributions published in the Suffolk University Law Review are submitted by judges, legal scholars, and other authorities in various fields of law. Lead Articles should be scholarly in style, containing incisive analysis, informed opinion, and content of interest to the legal community. Diversity of subject matter is desirable and, occasionally, we will accept an article that focuses on issues from a broader social perspective rather than one that represents a more traditional style of legal analysis.

The Law Review carefully considers each manuscript that it receives. When the Law Review receives an article from an author, the Articles Department will read it and make a tentative decision as to whether the article is of publishable quality. After some preliminary research about the author and the area of law that the article covers, the Articles Department, in conjunction with the Editor-in-Chief, will decide whether to extend an offer to the author. If the author accepts, Staff Members will check the substantive and technical accuracy of the piece, as well as make grammatical and stylistic suggestions. While we extend deference to Lead Articles authors in stylistic matters, we will not sacrifice the accuracy of analysis presented in these articles.

You may submit articles to the Suffolk University Law Review via e-mail or Scholastica (preferred). Please choose only one delivery method. Manuscripts should be submitted as a Word file and have double spaced text and single spaced footnotes, and be in a readable size and font. Endnotes should conform to the standards set forth in The Bluebook (21st ed. 2020). Visit these websites for a more extensive treatment of The Bluebook standards:
